The S.T.A.R. ProgramOur program is used by schools and juvenile Judges as an alternative to suspension, expulsion,
detention and other more expensive and less effective disciplinary tools.
Students placed in the Student Transition And Recovery Program attend their normal classes at their normal schools
and return home each evening. In the morning before school and in the afternoon after school, students participate
in excercises, counseling, tutoring, and military-style drills.
Throughout the school day S.T.A.R. Instructors check on the students in their classes and during lunch to ensure
appropriate behavior.
"S.T.A.R., when implemented correctly, is a major weapon in addressing behavioral problems for both adults and
juveniles."--The Honorable Olen Underwood, 284th District Court Judge, Montgomery County, Texas.
