How to Bring S.T.A.R. to Your CommunityIf you are interested in establishing a S.T.A.R. Program in your community the following procedure
has proven to be smooth and efficient.
First, contact us by: phone: (877) 890-2022, fax (866) 460-8895, or email
dsmith@starprograms.com. This initial
contact will enable us to answer some of your questions, and to suggest the next step to bringing a S.T.A.R.
Program to your community.
Next, to answer the many questions that your community will no doubt have, we will be happy to make a presentation
to any interested parties at any location convenient to you. Often our CEO, Charlie Stancil, will personally be
available to present the many features of the proven S.T.A.R. Program. We recommend that the following
professionals attend the presentation:
- School Superintendent
- Representative from the local Juvenile Board
- Representative from the local Juvenile Probation Department
- School Principals
- Local Civic leaders
At your discretion, you may find an advantage to inviting the following individuals as well:
- School Counselors
- Teachers
- Local press
- Local Ministers
Also discussed at the presentation
is ways to find funding from various national, state, and local agencies to help in the purchasing of a S.T.A.R. Program.
Interested parties are invited to take a tour of any of the over fifty S.T.A.R. Programs located across the United
States. This tour may help to familiarize a community with the actual workings of a S.T.A.R. Program, and give
professionals an opportunity to talk freely with their counterparts in a community with an established S.T.A.R.
Program. To schedule a tour of one of these facilities, please contact us to locate a program near you.
Finally, once the decision is made to invest in a S.T.A.R. Program, we assist every step of the implementation,
from hiring and training of employees to selecting a suitable location for the S.T.A.R. Facility.
